YourHandyman DFW started in 2001, when Terry Wilson founded the business in Lewisville. Today Gordon Young owns and runs it, having taken the company over from Terry and grown it into one of the crews North DFW keeps calling back. Some of our customers have had the same number saved for a decade or more.

We are family operated, and that is not a marketing line, it is how the phone gets answered. Gordon owns the business and runs the crews, so the person accountable for a job is the person you actually spoke to. No call centers, no runaround.

Everything we do runs on three published promises. We show up, so the appointment you were given is the appointment you get. We do it right, so surfaces get prepped before they get painted and the specific problem gets fixed instead of papered over. We stand behind it, which is why every completed job carries a lifetime labor warranty on our own workmanship, for as long as you own the property.
